Description
Lumina Clorofilliana was part of Primitive Learning, the first solo exhibition by Filippo Sciascia at the gallery, marking the artist’s official entry into the gallery’s roster. Filippo Sciascia’s work consistently navigates the intersection between art, science, philosophy, and technology. Light, matter, and image become tools for exploring the threshold between perception and knowledge, from the primal instinct to see to the evolved structures of contemporary representation.
Filippo Sciascia (Palma Di Montechiaro, Sicily 1972), lives in Bali, Indonesia, and Florence, Italy. He studied art in Italy and the united states, and he has had exhibitions in various venues in Southeast Asia, Europe, and America. Sciascia examines light as a primary artistic medium in his works across painting and sculpture, video and installations.
